Security is a top priority for us, and to ensure the safety of your account and data, certain actions in the Dashboard require authentication. You can authenticate these actions using your password (if one is set for your account) or a unique and temporary Verification Code, also known as a One-Time Password (OTP), that will be sent to you by email.
In this article, we'll explain when and how to use these authentication methods for specific actions within the Dashboard.
Actions Requiring Authentication
- Change Email Address
- Change or Remove Password
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- Deleting a Website
- Deleting Your Account
How Verification Code Works
- Verification Codes are temporary and unique codes generated for a single-use purpose.
- These codes are sent to your registered email address.
- You'll receive the Verification Code and enter it in the designated field during the authentication process.
- For security reasons, the Verification Code expires after a short period, so be sure to use it as soon as possible.
Security and Best Practices
- Keep your password and Verification Codes confidential. Please do not share them with anyone.
- Use strong, unique passwords and consider using a password manager to keep them secure.
