What is a footer?
In web design, a footer refers to a section at the bottom of a webpage. It typically contains information that is repeated across multiple pages, such as copyright notices, contact information or navigation links. Footers can also include social media icons, privacy policies or terms of service. They provide a convenient way to access essential information or perform actions while browsing a website, enhancing the user experience.
Footer specifications
- The footer is on all pages at the bottom of your site.
- If you edit it on one page, it will also be edited on all pages.
- If you delete it from one page, it will be deleted on all pages.
- You can add any template in your footer (text, contact, call-to-action, etc.).
- You can add several sections within your footer.
- You can hide the footer on particular pages from the page settings.
Add a footer to your site
To add a footer to your site:
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page
- Click Add a Footer
- Choose the content you want to add to your footer
