Use Google Analytics with Portfoliobox

Use our built-in integration to connect Google Analytics to your site.

What is Google Analytics 4?

Google Analytics 4, often known as GA4, is a brand-new tool that will replace Universal Analytics as the measurement tool in the future.

Create a Google Analytics account

You need to create a Google Analytics account, add a property, and copy the Measurement ID.

1. On the leftmost part of your dashboard, click on Admin. 
2. On the second panel, click Create Property. 
3. Follow the steps.
4. Under, choose a platform, select Web.
5. Set up the data stream and click Create Stream.
6. Google will ask you to copy and paste a code on every page of your website. You don't need to paste the entire code, only the Measurement ID. Copy the ID, as shown in the screenshot below.
   It has the following format: G-XXXXXXXXXX.
   
   

Connect Google Analytics

To connect Google Analytics to your Portfoliobox website:

1. Click on Settings in your Portfoliobox admin panel.
2. Choose General Settings, under Website Settings.
3. Under Google Analytics Tracking ID, paste the Measurement ID. It is a string like G-XXXXXXXXXX. Check Google Analytics' documentation for help finding the Measurement ID.
4. Click Save.
